About Me

Brooke Fleming Licensed Family Therapist

Welcome, I’m Vida Kent

APRN, CNM, Wellness coach

Vida’s decision to become a midwife was the result of having had midwives for her two pregnancies. The nursing journey took her to more than 12 years of Pediatric Intensive Care witnessing new moms needing to do self-care but not wanting to leave the bedsides of their children. Witnessing this, Vida was drawn toward wanting to care for the moms as well as their children. This led to a journey to complete her Undergraduate degree at Bethel University and eventually receiving her Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota. Vida has worked for more than 22 years in a Group Practice providing care for women and their families with gentle, attentive and evidence-based care.

During her time as a midwife, Vida has had the blessing of “catching” more than 2,000 babies, 3 of which are her grandchildren. She has also made more than 10 trips to Haiti, volunteering with Midwives for Haiti. One of her passions is building relationships with women during the postpartum period, helping them figure out the matrix of this new season of their lives, and helping them optimize their own health.

Vida is also a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach. She believes it is important for women to understand that they are the experts of their health, being the navigator for them in finding their best selves.

In her free time, Vida enjoys hiking, exploring new places, attending sporting events for her grandchildren, and volunteering at her church.
